Information for Grant Seekers
Given the fact that the Foundation is named after two of our cats, Fireworks and Dolly, we follow the feline aversion to regimentation; however, volume has forced us to become more formal in our procedures. Please review to the eligibility process below.
Grant Application & Eligibility Process
-
Step 1: Eligibility
The first thing you need to do before you contact us is determine if your organization is eligible to apply for a grant (if you’re a returning grantee, you’re already eligible). We fund in five different focus areas and specific geographic locations. Please refer to the eligibility guidelines for details.
-
Step 2: Letter of Inquiry
Once you’ve determined that you’re eligible, you can send us a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) during the eligible dates. Please note that inquiries from new applicants are restricted to the first quarter of the year. Returning grantees may submit a renewal request at anytime.
-
Step 3: Proposal
Within about three months, we will decide whether or not to request a proposal from your LOI submission. If we request a proposal from you, it means we’re interested in your project, but it doesn’t necessarily mean we’re going to give you a grant. You can expect to find out within three months of a proposal submission if your organization will receive funding from us.
